Type & Image, Fall 2021

This Type & Image assignment focused on experimental usage of typography and type as image in a wide array of business card designs. The goal was to create twelve designs using two typefaces and one color that were unique and dynamic.

Thumbnail Sketches

The initial phase of the project started with quick thumbnail sketches of various composition ideas. After this round of traditional sketches, I followed the composition of a select few thumbnails to create digital rough drafts.

Final Cards

After a round of peer review and feedback in class, I refined my digital rough drafts and created several more compositions. The result was a series of twelve business cards all with different approaches to displaying information. I also created additional mockups to see how they would look when printed.
